5-Star WR Jalen Lott Signs With Oregon: A New Record for the Ducks
The Oregon Ducks have made a significant addition to their 2026 recruiting class, securing the signature of 5-star wide receiver Jalen Lott from Texas. This marks the fifth 5-star recruit signed by Oregon this cycle, breaking the previous record of three from the 2025 class. Lott, ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver by Rivals, has been committed to Oregon since July, but his official announcement came on Thursday.
The Texas wideout was one of three commits who had yet to sign on the dotted line. Along with him, 4-star safety Devin Jackson from Winter Garden, Florida, and 5-star tight end Kendre Harrison from Reidsville, North Carolina, officially joined the Ducks' 2026 class. This move continues Oregon's strong connection with Texas, as Lott joins 4-star athlete Tradarian Ball from Texarkana, Texas, in the same class.
Lott's talent is evident in his impressive statistics. Through 11 games this season, he has caught 76 passes for 1,200 yards and 19 touchdowns, with an impressive yards per catch average of 15.8. His athleticism is further showcased by his state championship in the long jump and high jump events. As a defensive back, he also possesses high-end potential, making him a versatile player.
With Lott's signing, all eyes are on 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., who is committed to Ohio State but is a top target for Oregon. The Ducks' success in attracting top talent continues to build their program's reputation, and the future looks bright for the team.
