The Donegal community mourns the loss of Marian McDaid nee Harrigan, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her passing at the Donegal Hospice has left a profound impact on those who knew her.
Marian was a cherished wife to Charley, a loving mother to Tina Porter (Michael), Fiona Henry (Darragh), Cathal (Francesca), and Martin (Claire). She was also a dear sister to Lawrence, Frank, Malachy, Gerard, and Annette. Her absence will be deeply felt by her husband, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and neighbors.
The wake is a private affair, respecting the wishes of the deceased. Marian's remains will be laid to rest in a solemn ceremony.
On Monday, December 29th, at 12:15 p.m., her body will be removed from her home and taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Inch Island. A Requiem Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in the adjacent graveyard.
For those who cannot attend, the Requiem Mass will be live-streamed on the Fahan Parish YouTube channel. Family flowers are requested, and donations in lieu can be made to The Donegal Hospice through any family member or Shaun Murphy Funeral Director.
